Website Design For Hailsham Artists Network
About Hailsham Artists Network
Hailsham Artists Network is a group of arts and crafts people based in Hailsham East Sussex, and the surrounding area. The group was formed to promote local artists and crafters, and to bring interesting arts & crafts, and artists, into the town and surrounding area.
This talented group of artists were keen to start the process of establishing an online presence in order to display their individual artwork and also to promote regular events.
Ravenbridge assisted the Hailsham group to pick and register an appropriate domain name under our hosting package and once this was set up, a joint domain linked email address was created. This central email was later linked into the online contact form, and enabled the potential of creating other domain linked email addresses for each of the artists should they wish in the future.
Following several creative design planning meetings, and a fair amount of coffee, the Hailsham Artists Network website was launched online.
Over the past 2 years, the group has altered and grown and Ravenbridge have implemented a number of alterations and additions to the site to make it adapt and respond to these changes.
A section of the website needed to be used to promote the annual Hailsham Art and Discovery trail, and therefore a redesign was completed in 2019 to improve the online presence of this event.
The Client Brief
- Artistic stylish design
- Content management system that could allow group to add events and upload artwork and artist information
- Hailsham Art Trail Registration Online Forms
- Lightbox functionality for gallery photos
- Downloadable Information booklet
- Contact Page with form linked to emails
The more recent design brief included the creation of bespoke highly detailed & complex registration forms for Art Trail applicants to complete online. The information collected from these online forms is then sent directly to the event organisers without the need for paper copies or delay to the application. We also created links for downloadable information packs and also a bespoke map that will display all the venues for the open house art venues once they are finalised by event organisers.
This has evolved into a complex multifaceted website with a number of coded elements to make it easier for the network to self-edit the site without the need for them to delve into code themselves.
